Facebook was down for the 2nd time in a week and the 3rd time in 3 weeks.
Users couldn’t get into their Facebook account or pages and if they could get in they were faced with very long page load times or partial page loads due to this Facebook down situation. Many users went into partial melt down and began posting on Twitter to express their outrage. The hashtag #facebookdown was a popular trend on Twitter on Monday.
According to Facebook the interruption in services was caused by a ‘configuration issue’ as the site is going through some updates. Most users, except some in Europe, are able to login to the site with no problems today.
